Club Racing & Training Projects

As members will be aware the numbers of club boats racing regularly has declined in the last few years regardless of the format of the club racing programme. One of the identified reasons for this decline is the low number of participating boats fails to encourage others to join in, in short, who wants to race with only a couple of boats on the water. The club is committed to trying to address this problem, so this season we are going to try and encourage more boats to enter the Handicap and White Sail racing around a core fleet nordic folkboats. To supplement the existing folkboat fleet, all of which race regularly, the club have purchased a folkboat and at least two club members are committed to adding to the fleet.  More details on this project and the enhancement of the practical training available at the club utilising the two club owned Sonatas will be presented at the AGM.
