Winter Storage in City Rd Boatpark

The M&B team aims to get all members who’ve requested Winter storage a suitable space in the City Road boatpark. To achieve this we need all Winter storage request forms to be handed into the Club office by Thursday 24 September. (If a form isn’t in, the boat doesn’t get allocated a space).

We hope then be able to offer space to members on the waiting list. To facilitate this, any member who would wish to store more than one keelboat or large motorboat (e.g. of similar sizes to those stored on either side of the yard) will be asked to wait until those boats on the waiting list have been accepted.

For practical reasons the take-off from the waiting list will be allocated against boat fit, not members’ length of time on the list.

Those members who have boats on trailers should liaise with Hon Bosun over the space they will be allocated before they consider driving onto the boatpark. This simple measure will maximise space and prevent unnecessary juggling thereafter, perhaps to a disadvantageous location.

With the help of the Clarkes’ team and cooperation across the membership M&B will work hard to accommodate all concerned.

And to keep the best until last, this season the boatpark will be available for Winter storage from 1 October.
