2026 West Mersea Keelboat Racing

As previously publicised, ALL West Mersea keelboat racing in the coming season will be scored using the RYA’s YTC handicap system. This will include Mersea Week and all White Sail racing, where a boat’s Non-spinnaker YTC rating will be used.
Applications for 2026 YTC ratings should open in about a month’s time, and this is the website for both further information and applications – https://rorcrating.com/ryaytc
The sail measuring evening in WMYC last Thursday was attended by only a few skippers and amongst the detail required for a YTC application is the area of all the largest sails (mainsail, headsail and spinnaker).
