David makes GBR team for Worlds
We have this week had great news about two Mersea youngsters.
David and Conor were both invited to take part in the Optimist selection trials over 4 days at Weymouth were they competed against the best sailors in the country.
It was Conor's first selections and he gained some valuable experience putting in some credible scores on the second day.
David finished in second place missing out on first by one point which was enough for him to qualify for the five strong GBR team which will travel to Lake Garda at the end of July where they will represent their country in the Optimist World Championship.
Well done to both but particularly David Labrouche who continues to grow in experience. We wish him the best on Lake Garda.
