Important Mersea Week Info -please read
To avoid speculation and misinformation here is the policy for entry to our Club during Mersea Week and Town Regatta from Saturday 10th August until Saturday 17th August 2019, inclusive.
All Members showing their Membership cards will continue to enjoy the Club’s facilities. You may also wish to obtain and wear a Mersea Week wrist-band to expedite entry during busy periods. There will be security personnel at the Club’s entrances on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th.
You may obtain guest’s wrist-bands, upon request from Committee members.
Competitors will be able to collect wrist-bands for their crew on Saturday 10th from 19.00 hrs., along with their ‘Race Packs’, at the Club. There is a reception for competitors at that time accompanied by music from ‘Paul Rocks’.
This system of entry has been a success for the past two years, allowing Members to enjoy their Club’s amenities without too much queuing.
The Molliette bar will be open from 15.00 hrs. each day, for Member’s exclusive use (only Club-cards accepted). ***Draught ‘Ghost Ship’ and ‘Dry Hops’ beers available there. ***
This year the Committee has stepped up security because of misinformation, regarding entry, published in the local newspaper. We also wish avoid non members being abusive to our hard working Staff.
We wish everyone an enjoyable week on and off the water.
On behalf of your Commodore and Committee.
