By road:
The nearest major town to us is Colchester which can be reached from north or
south by the A12. From central Colchester take the B 1025 signposted to Mersea.
Having crossed the Strood (a causeway that separates Mersea Island from the
mainland at high tide) bear right and take the main road through West Mersea
village until you reach the waterfront. Continue - leaving the Victory and
Coast Inn pubs on your right - until you see The WMYC clubhouse on the right
hand side opposite the public car park. (click
here for map)
By rail:
Colchester is well served by frequent rail services from
London and Norwich A taxi from the station to the clubhouse
will take approximately 20-30 mins. (click
for train information)
By boat:
From the Bench Head bouy proceed to the Nass beacon.
The Mersea quarters are reached from the Naas by a well
marked channel. At all states of the tide we recommend
that you follow the lines of moorings as this clearly
indicates where the deep water is. Moorings are
usually available for visitors for an over night stay - contact our
launchman on Marina Channel 37, the
call sign is YC1 or on mobile number 07752 309435.
