The West Mersea Yacht Club has a
full range of facilities that enable our members to
take full advantage of the excellent location of our
clubhouse as well the fantastic sailing waters of the
Blackwater estuary and southern North Sea.
Launch
Service
Members
are taken to and from their yachts throughout the season
by two launches that are for the exclusive use of our
members. The launches run from a floating pontoon from
which dinghies can also be launched at all states of
the tide. Fresh drinking water is also available from
a standpipe on the end of the pontoon.
Contacting the Launch
Members should always call the launch, Callsign YC1, from the Club or from their own VHF, or to the Club mobile phone 07752 309435.
During November the launch service will operate from 9am until dusk by appointment only.
Moorings
large and small
We have moorings
for large and small boats as well as on-shore dinghy
storage and space to keep yachts over the winter. Some
moorings are still available for the coming season -
